Stacey Haber, who runs the publishing company Hope & Plum, was the first distribution partner…
QuoScript and Hope & Plum are delighted to announce that QuoScript will act as distributor for Hope & Plum Book Publishing (part of SHHH Media (https://www.shhh.media/) from November 2020. Hope & Plum has built up a distinguished list split between general trade, young adult and children’s literature. QuoScript will distribute the entire list.
Hope & Plum founder Stacey Haber is an accomplished music industry executive, film and theatre writer/producer/director/actress and author. She is one of the co-hosts of Girls Talk, a new Feel Good Factor TV series which launched on Sky TV on 7th November 2020.
Hope & Plum was originally founded to give new authors their first book deal and a better chance of signing to a large publisher. Its aim, Stacey says, is to “fill readers with wonder, awe and inspiration”.
Stacey adds: “I’m over the moon to be working with QuoScript and its founding directors. It would have been very difficult to get Hope & Plum off the ground in 2015 without their assistance; they are true professionals. I love what QuoScript is doing: its business model is ground-breaking for the book publishing industry. I’m excited to be a part of it.”
Linda Bennett, co-founder of QuoScript, said: “We are extremely fortunate to have attracted Hope & Plum’s very distinguished list to QuoScript so early in our career. We shall do our utmost to ensure that every Hope & Plum title enjoys the success it deserves.”
Ken Rhodes, CEO, United independent Distributors, comments: ‘QuoScript and Hope & Plum’s choice of Printforce is an elegant and increasingly viable route for modern publishers. It marries high quality, multi-format printing with completely flexible volumes – this enables the energy, thought and resources of the publisher to be directed at the true business of publishing – authors and readers.’
